Handheld Computers in Schools

These handheld computers are great inventions. They would be a great tool in schools for education. They are neat because they use technology to teach, rather than the normal pen and paper. The downside to this product, is the price. The price starts at about $200. Classes are usually about 18 students, so it would take about $3600 to purchase a handheld for each student in the classroom.

One Laptop Per Child

The mission of this non-profit association is a wonderful idea. I believe these laptops would be a great tool for teaching in classrooms. Not only would it make teaching easier, but also more interesting for the students. The computer looks neat, and the creative design of the computer looks like it would interest young learners to use it. I also enjoy the color of the computer, it is neat, rather than the normal black. The price of these laptops is very surprising, considering the price for a laptop usually starts at about $500.

Technology in Schools

This is a great website that talks about the different aspects of technology in schools. I prefer this website over others because it has a wide varietes of topics discussed in it. It not only goes in to why technology is needed in schools, but also the difficulties in getting it completed. This website also takes this topic to a different level by explaining why technical support is needed in order to make technology successful in schools. I also enjoyed searching this website because it gave great ideas as to sustaining funding to get the technology needed in schools.
